White Pigeon man killed in motorcycle crash in Bristol

A White Pigeon man was killed when a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV. The collision happened just before 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4, near the intersection of County Road 23 and County Road 104 in Bristol.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says 29-year-old Austin James Hersha was on the motorcycle traveling northbound on SR 23 and collided with the southbound vehicle.

Hersha suffered injuries to his head and arm and died as a result.

The occupants of the SUV were not injured.

The circumstances that led to the crash are still under investigation.
