Controversial Roseland councilman David Snyder passes away

(95.3 MNC)

Former Roseland Councilman David Snyder has passed away at the age of 65.

WNDU reports Snyder and his wife made up two thirds of the town council about 10 years ago, which caused controversy in the town.

The town council meetings became a spectacle, one in 2007 resulting in Snyder’s ejection and arrest. He was booked for battery of a police officer, but charges were later dropped.

Snyder’s wife Dorothy told the South Bend Tribune that his death was unexpected, though he had suffered a coronary while undergoing treatment for MS.

He passed away in St. Joseph, MI after moving there in 2012. His funeral was scheduled for Tuesday at noon.
