Georgia’s “Sea of Red” leads to Notre Dame re-examining ticket resale policy

The Sea of Red situation at Notre Dame’s home game against Georgia reportedly has school officials reconsidering the lack of resale policy for tickets.

There were an estimated 30,000 Georgia Bulldog fans at Notre Dame stadium last weekend, which holds just under 81,000 people. The University of Georgia had an allocation of just 8,000 tickets made available, plus a few hundred or so for school support personnel such as cheerleaders and the band.

The amount of red in the stands was hard to miss at the 20-19 loss, and many fans have talked about how disappointed they were in the turnout.

ND Insider says the school is “weighing options” after the sea of red, which has happened before…most famously a similar turnout for the 2000 Nebraska game. Currently, there is no policy against the resale of Notre Dame tickets.

If they didn't suck it would not have been so "RED" September 15, 2017 at 2:04 pm

If ND didn’t suck there would be no ticket available for resale. Are they going to lose all away games because of too many other teams fans? What a BS issue to create.
