DELPHI, Ind. (AP) — The families of two northern Indiana teenage girls slain in February are seeking new ways of spreading the word about the unsolved crime.
Police have made no arrests since 14-year-old Liberty German and 13-year-old Abigail Williams were found slain Feb. 14, a day after they vanished while hiking near their hometown of Delphi.
More than seven months later, their relatives are exploring ways to help police find the killer.
German’s grandparents created a Facebook page seeking novel ways of informing the public about the crime, including an FBI sketch and two grainy photos of a man considered the main suspect.
The Facebook suggestions include putting notices at park entrances and on truckers’ vehicles.
German’s grandfather, Mike Patty, tells WRTV-TV “you can’t do the same thing and expect a different result.”
