Illinois man arrested as part of investigation into Elkhart man’s stabbing death

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department has made an arrest after an Elkhart man died of stabbing wounds in Kosciusko County.

21-year-old David Strowder Jr. was found on the side of 300 North with critical injuries on Monday night. He later died of those injuries at Kosciusko Community Hospital.

After a brief investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies determined Strowder was the victim of an attack.

They’ve arrested 23-year-old Derrick Wandrick of Harvey, Illinois. Wandrick was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail and is being held with no bond for charges relating to to Strowder’s death.

Wandrick will be formally charged over the next 48 hours.
