Fairfield student’s mother upset over racial bullying video

(Sarah Welliver/The Elkhart Truth)

A mother of a Fairfield student is upset over a video sent to her son, which she says contains a racial slur.

WNDU reports the Goshen mom found out about the video on social media, and is urging school officials to take action. She says the ten second video depicts two students burning her son’s hat and using a racial slur.

Fairfield has an anti-bullying policy in place that says “harassment based on sex, race, color, national origin, religion or disability will not be tolerated.” Still, its unclear if the video was recorded on school property.
Fairfield school officials have not provided any comment on the incident.
