Wolcottville woman hit by vehicle she was trying to help back out

A woman helping a vehicle back out of the driveway was hit by that vehicle in Wolcottville.

A Chevy Equinox was backing out of the driveway of a home on 900 East at about 6:20 p.m. Wednesday. ABC 57 reports that the woman was hit, along with a GMC Acadia that was parked at an angle.

The woman was knocked to the ground and one of the tires rolled over her and came to a stop on top of her. The panicked driver then reportedly hit the Acadian again while trying to move the Equinox off the victim.

The woman eventually was taken to Parkview Regional in Fort Wayne for treatment of a broken pelvis, a broken right ankle, and a cut to the head.
