A jury found Luis Jaquez guilty of dealing methamphetamine and racketeering after deliberating for just 30 minutes.
Friday’s verdict marked the culmination of the five-day trial of the man at the center of the largest ring in Elkhart County history: the Jacquez ring.
Jaquez was charged with two counts of dealing methamphetamine and corrupt business influence stemming from multiple undercover purchases made August 2016.
He faces 66 years in prison when he’s sentenced.
Others in the drug ring that bears his name have either been convicted, taken plea deals, or are still awaiting trial.
