Sawyer man killed in Berrien County crash

An elderly man from Sawyer was killed when his vehicle went off the road and hit a tree.

It happened at about 8:40 a.m. Saturday on Long Lake road near Rangeline Road south of Berrien Springs. A Lexus ended up going off the road and hitting a tree.

80-year-old James Braddock was pronounced dead at the scene. Police don’t believe weather was a factor in the crash.
