Man injured in Monday morning shooting at an Elkhart hotel

A man was injured in a shooting early Monday morning in Elkhart.

Officers were called to the Daylite Inn, formerly the Days Inn, on Cassopolis Street. Officers were dispatched to the location at 3:21 A.M. and found the 25 year-old victim in the parking lot. He had been shot in the groin after being attacked by a female acquaintance and three unknown males.

The suspects fled the area. They are described as a white female and three black males, between the ages of 25 and 30.

The injury was said to be non-life-threatening.
