Robbery and shooting being investigated in South Bend

Police in South Bend are investigating a robbery and shooting that took place Tuesday morning in the 700 block of South Falcon.

Officers discovered a man with a wound to his hand. The victim claims he was approached from behind by a suspect demanding everything he had, then was shot when he said he had nothing. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and is expected to recover.

Suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, wearing all black clothing and partially obscuring his face with a mask.
