Second suspect in Elkhart Walmart incident on Wednesday is identified

A second suspect in Wednesday morning’s incident at the Elkhart Walmart has been identified.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department says 28-year-old Seth Aaron Carlos Allen was taken into custody by the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and booked into St. Joseph County Jail.

He was found to have a warrant for his arrest on two charges: Felon in Possession of a Handgun and for Delivering a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine.

Two local charges are pending: Conspiracy to Impersonate a Public Servant, a Level 6 Felony; and for Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, a Level 3 Felony.

Those are similar charges that his alleged accomplice, 37-year-old Joseph Gerber of Warsaw, faces. The two were arrested after employees discovered a suspicious vehicle and a man putting on a bulletproof vest.

A third suspect went into the store and has not been located. A gun as also recovered during the incident.

In a previous booking, Allen had a Warsaw address.
