Elkhart police are investigating a stabbing that happened over the weekend.

At about 9:45 p.m. Saturday, a man went to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment of his wounds.

The victim told police at the hospital that he was in the 1200 block of Georgia Boulevard waiting for a friend when two people wearing ski masks approached his vehicle.

One of them pulled out a gun and told the victim to get out while the other went to the passenger’s side. That man opened the door, got in the vehicle, and started stabbing the victim with an unknown object, according to police.
