Tax Day is also “Chill Out Day” in Elkhart with free shaved ice

Not only is Tuesday, April 17, the deadline to file annual income taxes, it’s also Kona Ice’s National “Chill Out” Day.

To help relieve taxpayers of the stress associated with meeting the federal tax deadline, a Kona Ice truck will be stationed at the Elkhart Civic Plaza from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with free cups of tropical shaved ice.

Kona Ice says it’s their way to ensure that there is no taxation without relaxation this tax season.
