Tuesday night, a man was shot at the West Jefferson Apartments in Mishawaka.

Police say they were called to the apartments at West Jefferson and Liberty Drive shortly after 10 p.m. on a report of shots fired.

The victim was listed in critical condition Wednesday morning, and the circumstances that led to the shooting have not been released.

Police say the suspect fled the scene, but his identity is known.
