Missing elderly Mishawaka man found in Paw Paw

A missing elderly Mishawaka man has been found in Paw Paw.

84-year-old Richard Lubelski was last seen Friday buying a new bicycle in Mishawaka. He suffers from dementia and family members feared he may have been headed to LaPorte.

Lubelski was found safe and is being checked out at a local hospital there.

A Statewide Silver Alert has been declared for a missing man from Mishawaka.

The Mishawaka Police Department is investigating the disappearance of Richard J. Lubelski, 84. He is described as is a white male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 150 pounds, brown hair, and hazel eyes.

Lubelski is believed to have purchased a silver and blue Schwinn bicycle around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 27, in the 800 block of Grand Blvd. in Mishawaka.

He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
