Reward up to $20,000 for suspected Benton Harbor double murderer

(Marisa Oberle/ABC 57)

The stakes have grown in the search for a suspect in a double murder in Benton Harbor.

Antwan Mims also goes by the nickname “Tank.” He’s been wanted since Sunday, March 25, when he allegedly shot 22-year-old Cortez Miller and 29-year-old Michael Johnson.

Both were injured when first responders arrived to the scene of the home on Lavette in Benton Harbor. Both died on the way to the hospital.

Mims is 40 years old and should be considered armed and dangerous. Tuesday, the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety upped the reward for information leading to his arrest to $20,000.

It’s believed he may have fled to Indianapolis, where he has family ties.
