South Bend shooting leaves woman injured Wednesday morning

A shooting in South Bend sent a woman to the hospital early Wednesday morning.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 2 a.m. on the report of a shooting incident on East Indiana Avenue, between Fellows and Miami Streets. That’s just a few blocks north of Riley High School.

The 26-year-old woman’s wound in her shoulder not life-threatening and police have not released any suspect information at this time. South Bend police say she was sitting in a vehicle when she heard gunshots, then started to feel pain.
