The South Bend Cubs are preparing to honor iconic PBS show host Mister Rogers in a special way.
The Cubs will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood on August 12 when they host Mister Rogers Day.
One of Fred Rogers’ creations, Daniel Tiger, will be in attendance for the game to greet young fans of his PBS show, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. Clips from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood will be shown throughout the game.
And last but certainly not least, the Cubs will wear jerseys modeled after Mister Rogers’ famous red sweater and tie.
It’s a Sunday afternoon game on August 12th against the Lake County Captains.
