Two hurt after two separate Cass County crashes Friday

Two crashes had first responders in Cass County busy Friday.

The first one happened around 3:15 p.m. Friday on U.S. 12 near M-60 near Niles. A 67-year-old man from Reading driving a semi was cut off by a car trying to make a u-turn on the off-ramp.

The driver of the car, a 51-year-old Niles woman, was taken to St. Joseph Medical in Elkhart for treatment of neck pain.

A second crash Friday happened at about 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of Born Street and Patterson Hill Road northwest of Jones.

A 40-year-old Bronson woman drove off the road and hit a tree. Her vehicle overturned and she was thrown from the vehicle. She was taken to Bronson Hospital for treatment.
