A South Bend man has pleaded guilty to his role in a snowmobile theft case in Marshall County.

Troy Burgh has pleaded guilty to helping Zach Marek steal snowmobiles from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Burgh was charged in May with two counts of theft.

The snowmobiles were reported stolen in December from Potato Creek State Park.

Burgh was sentenced to 60 days in jail and two years of probation, along with fines. Marek previously received one year of probation.

Burgh was also convicted in 2016 of assault when he and Gabrielle Adams attacked a woman at a CVS pharmacy parking lot while their toddler watched.

He was sentenced in that case to 18 months in jail and one year probation.
