Suspected gunman in Goshen shooting arrested

An arrest was made in a shooting that took place in Goshen.

The shooting took place around 2:50 p.m. on on Thursday, July 26, in an alley
behind the 400 block of West Wilden Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found an 18-year-old Goshen man who was shot in the thigh during an incident in which the suspect demanded money from the victim. The suspect took off before officers arrived.

On Saturday, July 28, investigators took Todd Frances, 18, into custody on preliminary charges of armed robbery resulting in serious bodily injury.

He remained locked-up in the Elkhart County Jail as of 11 a.m. on Monday.
