New South Shore station could be built in New Carlisle

New Carlisle is considering building a new South Shore train station.

The St. Joseph County Redevelopment Commission has decided to do a $100,000 study to determine if a station should be built in the city, according to ABC 57.

It’s part of the ongoing process of looking at potential growth areas for the development area in New Carlisle, and a dialogue has already begun with South Shore to consider the matter.

One area of the study will be to determine if the city is prepared for a project of that magnitude.
