A man accidentally shot himself in the leg in South Bend Wednesday morning.

South Bend Police were called at about 10:30 a.m. on West Dayton Steet near Michigan Street on reports of a shooting.

They determined that the shooting was self-inflicted as the gun went off by accident. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
