17-year-old girl shot in South Bend

A teenage girl is recovering after being shot in South Bend.

The shooting happened around 11 a.m. on Friday, Dep. 7, in the 400 block of Sheridan Street.

The teenager received a bullet wound to the leg.

There was no immediate word of the circumstances that led to the gunfire, or any possible suspects or arrests.
