Charges filed in deadly hit-and-run collision in Berrien Township

Berrien County prosecutors have charged Kyriea Demorrow, 23, with operating while intoxicated causing death and failure to stop at a personal injury accident causing death after a deadly vehicle-bicycle crash on Saturday, Sep. 15.

The collision happened on Pokagon Road near Jones Road in Berrien Township, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.

A 32-year-old man who was on his bicycle was killed.

Eyewitnesses were able to give officials the vehicle’s description and licence plate number.

Demorrow’s blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit, according to investigators.
