Teenage girl recovering after being shot on W. Western Avenue in South Bend

UPDATE: A 17-year-old girl is recovering after being shot multiple times near the Citgo gas station on West Western Avenue on Monday, Sep. 24. South Bend Police released the following information about the shooting:

When officers arrived, they found a 17 year old female with multiple wounds to the chest and arm and began rendering aid until medics arrived. She was taken to the hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.

Witnesses on scene report two unknown males arrived in a dark colored vehicle before the
shooting.

The possible suspects are described as:
1. Black male wearing a red sweater and black shorts.
2. Black male wearing a white shirt with black shorts.

This case remains under investigation by detectives with the South Bend Investigative Bureau.

Crews were called to the Citgo gas station where a female was hurt.
