Search underway for Eau Claire High School shooting threat prankster

Police in Berrien County are searching for the suspect they believe placed a phone call to 911 operators falsely reporting somebody with a rifle in Eau Claire High School.

Investigators are looking for Justin Alen Bashore, 32, of Niles.

It was back on Friday, Sep. 7, when police received the call at the Berrien County Public Safety Dispatch Center warning of a gunman inside one of the school restrooms.

A search of the school produced no such person and no such threat.

Anybody with information about Bashore’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office at (269) 983-3060.
