Attempted murder suspect from Detroit arrested in Cassopolis

A suspect wanted for attempted murder in Detroit has been arrested in Cassopolis.

Cassopolis Police received a tip from their counterparts in Detroit on Monday, Sep. 24, about a fugitive that was believed to be in the area.

Officers located the suspect’s vehicle late Monday night. The fugitive was in the passenger seat and was apprehended without incident.

A woman driving the vehicle was arrested on unrelated charges.

The suspect had a loaded 40-caliber rifle behind him in the vehicle, as well.

His name was not released at the time, pending his arraignment.
