South Bend Police investigating two stabbings within 24 hours

South Bend Police are investigating two separate stabbings that took place within the past day.

The most recent happened on Monday morning, Oct. 8, when a disagreement between three brothers resulted in the victim being cut.

It happened in the 1300 block of Twyckenham.

Investigators say one brother nicked another with an edged weapon in the argument before taking off.

The victim refused medical treatment.

The other incident took place on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 7, in the 3600 block of West Washington.

Officers found the victim, a 23 year-old man, who had walked over to South Illinois Street. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating a possible suspect.
