Disaster response training available for Berrien County residents

Training for the Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, is being offered to Berrien County Citizens.

The Berrien County Office of Emergency Management is offering the training through a partnership with the Berrien County Firefighters Training Council.

There will be 7 sessions in all, on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Oct. 16.

The program is free and will take place at the Oronoko Township Public Safety building on East Snow Road.

Students will learn how to prepare to respond to and cope with the aftermath of a disaster, and learn valuable skills. Pre-registration is required.
