Man sentenced to 30 years for shooting death of teenage boy in South Bend

A man who who shot and killed a teenage boy during a game of dice has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

17-year-old D’Angelo Jennings died back in January in the 1800 block of N. Johnson Street in South Bend.

The shooting happened when the Jennings and the suspect, Torreay Fennessee, 19, got into a fight over a girl.

Last month, Fennessee pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and a gun charge. He was sentenced to 20 years for voluntary manslaughter, with 10 years for the firearm enhancement to be served consecutively.
