A 21-year-old man from Niles has been arrested after barricading himself inside a home in the 1600 block of Florence Avenue not once, but twice.

Police were first called to the home on Friday, Dec. 14, by two residents who said the man threatened them with a knife, then barricaded himself in the home.

Police eventually entered the home, but the man had left.

On Sunday afternoon, officers were called there again on the report of a disturbance.

After a short time, deputies were able to negotiate his surrender and book him into the Berrien County Jail.
