A 25-year-old Milford man is in custody after being found unresponsive in a pick truck at Mock Road and Old State Road 15 on Tuesday.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office says witnesses called and reported that they had broken the truck window to try and help the man. When he awoke, he ran from the truck and crossed in front of an oncoming train.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies worked with the Syracuse Police Department to search for him. Patrick Belt was arrested after being found trying to hide behind a nearby home.

Officers found cash and possible drug-related materials in the truck as well as over 15 grams of methamphetamine and marijuana. The meth had a street value of more than $1,500.

Belt is facing a preliminary charge of dealing methamphetamine.
