If you enjoyed South Bend’s experiment with the electric scooters from LimeBike last year, there’s good news. The e-Scooters are back.

The South Bend Tribune reports that a second 45-day pilot project has begun. It will end May 19.

250 scooters will be deployed this time, and although the company is phasing out their bikes, the bikes will remain, for now, in South Bend, according to the South Bend Tribune.

LimeBike had been planning to pull out of South Bend completely because the University of Notre Dame had refued to allow the scooters on campus for safety reasons, the South Bend Tribune reported.

To use the scooters, you have to wear a helmet, stay off sidewalks, be at least 18 years of age, and a licensed driver.
