Potawatomi Zoo opens for the season on Friday

The Potawatomi Zoo is ready to open to the public, despite major construction underway.

The zoo says the work will be done in a couple of months, and even though the front entrance isn’t finished yet, the doors will still be opened on Friday, March 29, for their opening day.

Sidewalks will be poured by then and the animals who don’t mind the colder temperatures will be out and ready to see.

Visitors will also see the final touches on zoo improvements being worked on, including new bathrooms, a renovated farm, and more.

This summer, the new attractions will include a critically endagered Southern White Rhino.
