A crash involving two semi trucks had traffic blocked on U.S. 20.

The collision occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 14, at the intersection with Fail Road in LaPorte County.

Authorities closed off the eastbound lanes, but all drivers are advised to plan an alternate route or prepare for back-ups and delays.

There was no immediate word of the circumstances that led to the crash.

There were initially reports that one person had died in the crash, but the LaPorte County Police say that report was made in error.

All travel lanes re-opened for drivers around 9 a.m. EDT.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
