The Superintendent of the Benton Harbor Area Schools has been offered a new job.

In a 4-3 vote on Wednesday, the Farmington School Board voted to offer him the same job at their public school system.

Dr. Robert Herrera was one of two final candidates who were interviewed on Wednesday, and who took a full day of tours and focus groups within the district, near Detroit.

Herrera is a former teacher, pricipal and coach who has only spent one year in the top job for the troubled Benton Harbor Schools.
