There was a series of armed robberies in Michiana Thursday night and Friday morning.

Elkhart Police were sent to the 7-11 store on South Nappanee St. shortly before midnight. It was reported that five male suspects, two of them armed, had robbed an undermined amount of cash from the store. A dark colored vehicle was seen in the area shortly after the robbery.

Friday morning between 1 and 1:30 a.m. a pair of stores were hit in St. Joseph County. The Family Express on Union Street in Mishawaka and the Fresh Way on South Miami Street in South Bend were robbed roughly half an hour apart from each other. The Fresh Way had also been robbed earlier that night. In the Family Express robbery the suspects left on foot, but after the robbery at the Fresh Way they fled in a dark-colored Ford Explorer. There were no injuries reported at either location and the suspects are all described as black males in their late teens to early 20s.

Detectives are investigating other robberies that are potentially connected.

Maybe we need to go back to closing things up by 11, except bars of course, so people can get home and be safe.

Or vote the Dumbocrats out of office because that hasn’t worked for last four decades. Mayor Pete loves to talk about the great things he’s done in one of the 10 most dangerous cities per capita in America.

How are those roundabouts working for ya? Homeless camps? Well on your way to becoming Detroit south.

But, hey, free stuff.
