The Tolson Center could be returning year-round in Elkhart.

The youth and community center shut down last year after the Elkhart City Council decided against funding it in the future.

Mayor Tim Neese announced in March that summer camp activities through the center would return.

Elkhart Parks and Recreation Superintendent Randy Norton says he hopes the center will reopen in August, with a Grand Opening celebration in September, and feature activities for not just children, but also adults and seniors in the community.

The Tolson summer camp happens Monday through Friday from 10 to 4 until July 26th. You can learn how to register by clicking here.
