Kemia Hassel has been found guilty in the murder of her husband.

Hassel and her boyfriend, Jeremy Cuellar, were both charged with the murder of Tyrone Hassel the third but are being tried separately.

All three were soldiers on holiday leave when Tyrone was shot and killed in front of his father’s home in Benton Harbor on New Year’s Eve.

Cuellar is accused of pulling the trigger in what officials believed to be a fatal love triangle that may have been motivated by Tyrone’s life insurance.

Kemia did not tetify in court. Jurors took about an hour Thursday morning to find her guilty of first degree murder and conspiracy, and she faces sentencing on August 29.
