A Kosciusko County man has been sentenced in a fatal hit-and-run crash.

Skyler Kuta was given a 5-year sentence, 90 days of which will be spent in jail, and the rest in a work release program. He’ll also serve three years on probation.

Kuta pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a deadly crash in September of last year that killed a 70 year-old bicyclist on County Road 800. He told police that he first thought he’d hit a deer.
