Rodeway Inn shooting victim identified

The victim from Sunday morning’s shooting at the Rodeway Inn has been identified.

Jenna Lynn Vanhorn, 22 of South Bend, was found dead inside a motel room around 3:45 a.m. after police were called to the scene on reports of “a naked man shooting in the parking lot.”

An autopsy was performed on Vanhorn Monday, and her cause of death was determined to be gunshot wounds. Her manner of death was ruled a homicide.

No suspect information has been provided at this time, and police are asking anyone with information related to the incident to call the St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit at (574) 235-5009 or Crime Stoppers at 288-STOP.
