A search for a suspect is underway after a woman was found dead at the Rodeway Inn in the 500 block of State Road 933.

St. Joseph County Police were called to the motel around 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, Sep. 15, on the report of a naked man shooting in the parking lot, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The victim was found dead inside one of the rooms, ABC 57 reported.

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.
