A Silver Lake has died following a crash in Fulton County Monday night.

Police were called to State Road 19 at Division Road just after 5 p.m.

A preliminary investigation reveals Joseph Cosgrove, 65, was driving a Chrysler mini-van westbound on Division Road when he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign at the SR 19 intersection.

Cosgrove pulled into the path of a northbound Chevrolet Silverado, and was struck in the driver’s side door.

Cosgrove was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Silverado was flown from the crash via a medical helicopter to a Fort Wayne hospital. He suffered head trauma and a leg injury.

Police do not suspect alcohol or narcotics as factors in the crash.
