The FDA reports the recall only affects products with the UPC number 016000 196100 and Best If Used By date of Sept. 6, 2020.

Although General Mills has not received any consumer reports of confirmed illnesses related to the recall, E. coli O26 was discovered during sampling of the product.

If you own this product, throw it away and contact General Mills Consumer Relations for questions at 1-800-230-8103.

E. coli O26 is a potentially deadly bacterium that can cause bloody diarrhea and dehydration. Seniors, the very young and those with compromised immune systems are the most susceptible.
