St. Joseph County Prosecutor Ken Cotter says “no fetal remains” were located at the former South Bend clinic run by the late Dr. Ulrich Klopfer.

Citing a desire to keep rumors from circulating after his office and that of the Indiana Attorney General executed a search warrant at the former Women’s Pavilion abortion clinic, Cotter spoke Thursday morning about what was found during a search of the clinic and a vacant property on Lincolnway.

Cotter said no remains were found at either location.

Cotter also said the Attorney General’s office is continuing to examine the medical records left behind for any further information relevant to the case.

More than 2000 preserved remains were found in Klopfer’s garage in Illinois after his death earlier this month.
