Children receive minor injuries during school bus crash Friday afternoon

(95.3 MNC)

A few children suffered minor injuries after their school bus got into a crash with another vehicle Friday.

Police report the bus was heading northbound on King Road, and was crossing US 30, when it was struck by a vehicle that allegedly ran a red light. The crash happened just before 4 p.m., according to ABC 57.

A few children obtained minor injuries, but none of them were transported to the hospital. All children aboard the bus were transferred to a second bus and were taken home.

The driver of the other vehicle was cited for running a red light, and was not injured. Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
