Two arrested for drugs in Berrien County Wednesday

Two people were arrested on drug charges in Berrien County Wednesday.

Police served a narcotics search warrant at Benton Harbor home following a two-month investigation into the distribution of crystal meth. During the course of the investigation, detectives seized more than a pound of meth, three handguns and other drug-related items.

During Wednesday’s search, Douglas Lee Davis, 45, and Sirshun Burris, 41, were arrested. They’re facing the following charges:

  • Davis:
    • Delivery of Meth (five counts)
    • Possession with Intent to Deliver Meth
    • Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
    • Possession of Ammo by a Felon
    • Possession of a Firearm while Committing a Felony (three counts)
  • Burris:
    • Possession with Intent to Deliver Meth
    • Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
    • Possession of Ammo by a Felon
    • Possession of a Firearm while Committing a Felony (three counts)
    • Resisting and Obstructing Police

Both are booked in the Berrien County Jail.
