Woman sentenced to three years for May shooting

A woman has learned her fate after pleading guilty to a shooting that happened in South Bend last May.

Tera Edwards pleaded guilty to one count of Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon, according to ABC 57. As part of a plea agreement, the charge of Aggravated Battery was dismissed.

Edwards was accused of shooting a 20-year-old man in his hip on May 17.

Thursday, Edwards was sentenced to three years in prison with two years and 330 days suspended. She had already served 35 days in jail.
